We donate 8% from each sale to the non-profit ALICE (Alaska Institute for Climate and Energy) as our way of acting locally to invest globally in the welfare of our planet. We use eco-friendly materials to construct our products including OEKO Tex Standard yarns, micro-fleece made from recycled polyester, and hang tags made from recycled paper.

Made with filament-structured Acrylic yarns, our hats and headbands won't shrink or cause the irritation and itching commonly associated with hats made from staple-based yarns, such as wool or cotton.
Additionally, all IGL8 hats and headbands are machine washable and offer moisture-wicking ventilation to keep you feeling dry and comfortable while moderating body temperature.

Do you take custom orders?
Although we don't accept custom orders for WEARABLE ART headbands, we do offer customers the option to request specific colors and/or color combinations in ICE SOLID headbands, POLAR CAP beanies, and MOUNTAIN CAP knit hats.
Who makes each IGL8 hat & headband?
First, each and every headband (WEARABLE ART, BRAND BANDS & ICE SOLIDS), beanie, and hat is carefully hand-crafted (crocheted, knit) by a single artist in Anchorage, AK, USA. That same artist then irons or sews on the logo patch, and lastly, hand-sews-in each micro-fleece lining inside each headband and knit hats.
Thus, on average, it takes around 6-8 hours to construct each WEARABLE ART headband, 4-5 hours per ICE SOLID headband, 5-6 hours per BRAND BAND headband, 4-5 hours per POLAR CAP, and 6 hours per MOUNTAIN CAP
